cause i barely play guitar these days lol
i do however have an 8 string on the books,
as well as a setneck tele,
baritone 6 string,
and a setneck strat,
wouldnt mind doing another bass....
if someone was to ask me to build something for them with more strings, whether that be a bass or guitar, i would consider it....

routed the neck pocket
boys..... do me a favor and dont work if your not feeling 100%
cause stupid mistakes are made lol
i put the neck in the wrong position when i stuck the templates on
the neck is straight, but it was meant to be another cm or so into the body,
i even had a pencil mark tellng me where it was meant to go... -_-
but #### happens....
the pocket is nice and the neck will set in fine
just a lil less bdy wood on th treble side of the neck..
another lesson learned
will not be dong anymore work on this until i get some machine heads, ferrules and possibly an emg
in the meantime i have some other projects
anyways, pics....
now....im not one to build copies....
but i have a bunch of parts laying around, so im going to use them....
but it will have my own lil twists on it....
one being a set neck,
another being the scarfed headstock
gotta decide on a headstock design
shall be fun...

I do like the new head stock too but I love tele's anyway so either head stock is fine but yours takes a lot mor skill to accomplish
Watch out he bites!

Hey Andy, I just put a new blade on my bandsaw and set it all up right but as soon as I try to cut something the blade stops??? Doesnt matter if its timber or mdf in all different thickness..Any ideas?? I know fletch cuts bodies and necks on the same bandsaw so I dont see why it wont work???

Andrew - looking good. Nice save on the neck alignment.
I like the Strat style "fat" headstock on the tele. then again the 72 Deluxe is my favourite. The fact youve tilted it with a scarf is cool too. You dont have any string ferrules you want to sell me?

about to buy some more.. lol
and yes, tele headstocks arent great....
and since its a scarfed headstock i think that it will look retarded....
iv always liked my strat headstock (70's style)
so i free handed it over the tele headstock oon the blank
i wiill probably come up with my own though....
who knows..
I do like the new head stock too but I love tele's anyway so either head stock is fine but yours takes a lot mor skill to accomplish
easy peasy
