Dude, take some pics of yours so I can see..I got plans for one like yours but I think its a bit of overkill just to bend wire...there were so many diff nuts and bolts and washers lol..
yea ill take some pics of my beautiful dodgy bender, actually i made two... i scrapped the first one....

i dont even use the handle an crank it, i just push the wire through

I did find plans to build a copy of the erlewine neck jig..Looks pretty simple and cheap!!
i think i have that too, the gauges bit is gay, no idea where i would find them around lol, its on my maybe to do list, but i dont really need it

[quote=dadovfor;1092281]Didn't Stu use a thin vinyl? And just encapsulate it in nitro? He mentioned it a fair way back. [quote]

    no idea.. i forget

On our COB / Alexi build I drew up my son's name in the COB style and had it professionally cut out in vinyl ... or whatever it is they use for shopfronts etc. Stu must use a thinner stock 'cos I shot a fair few coats over this and it still has a raised / embossed feel to it. I quite like it that way, but I'd also like to see the same thing fully encapsulated.

P.S. I'm still waiting for a couple of black string retainers from ALS for this build. Bruno says they should be arriving soon.
    blah blah bah

When we did the Alexi build I got two lots of decals made just in case I stuffed one up. I didn't. So I've got another "Andrew" and another large "COBHC" out there somewhere.

That's the one. Stu shoots with a higher ratio of nitro than I did so perhaps that helps with the build up.

Depends on the time of year as I alter reducer mix ratios incorporated in the thinners to suit the conditions at the time.

Spraying around summer, I'll use a slower drying thinners and to a 50:50 or sometimes 30:70 nitro/solvent ratio. 10 or 12 coats on the last one.

Winter is a different setup entirely, but the same number of coats . Close to the Tele thread. That was a Winter spray schedule from memory.

lol, scrapped as in, threw it in the trailor to go to the tip

i have plans to do a new one...
when i find a bit of alu or steel plate

at te moment i just have two slidding door whels bolted to a bit of wood, and a disc made up of two bits of chopping board, a washer between them to give the fret tange somewhere to go, and abolt through the midle of that, mounted on the bit of wood above the two sliding door wheel thingies...
has a window winder handle on the end of the bolt... but i dont really use it...
just push the wire through and it gives it a decent bend....

you have to have a gap for the tang to slot in...
i recieved some pre bent fretwire ages ago that had been put though a fretbender SIDEWAYs....

    ????????????????? retards

    #### its hot,

    send me that dvd... already
