NSW Rosewood
I have been gifted a lovely slab of NSW Rosewood. I have put it through my thicknesser to correct twist and banana syndrome, with rails attached to the sides to bring the faces parallel. It the largest and cleanest piece of timber i have owned in 30 years of woodworking. It measures 1Mx 190mm x80mm thick. As my hobby is mainly small detailed boxes,im inquiring whether this timber is sought after by Luthiers?and may be valuable to them, thanks Ross

If it is quarter sawn it would certainly be of interest. I can't really tell from the pictures if it is.

The end grain is about 45 to the face ,this appears to be very stable old growth, im interested to know if it is suitable for guitar soundboards or best suited for cabinetry or veneers , thanks for your reply's, Ross

If you're selling it (or only some), I'd be interested for wooden flutemaking.
