    Default The pallet wood paparazzi.

A few years ago, I found my self pulling 3m lengths of HIGHLY figured blackwood from the racks. Acknowledging that this was a once in a blue moon find, I always felt I had one up on stu when It came to the private timber stash. Until today.

I made my way down to the Bluestone workshop a few hours ago only to find a pile of this really ####, warped blackwood, pest infested, nail holed stash sitting on his workbench. So I took a few pictures to share.

And to think he's kind enough to donate it all to the community bon fire next week!

Great find Stu, we are looking forward to seeing some guits made from this lovely stash.

Not true Bob. Sparky bill of $1150 for the workshop took precedence over a drop top.

This haul came about due to a new commission deposit dropped into my bank account today and I was shopping for purpleheart. I got that too !!

This was one of those freaky times where something the timber suppliers had stumbled across after being hidden for many years. I was the first guitar builder to walk in and come across it. That was today.

Might have a fire this weekend. Could get a little cold in the house

To to all you guys and girls in the forum,
If you take around a load of dry firewood to Stu.
He will give you figured blackwood with borers in exchange.
