Well done Titch. Have you got a YouTube coming?

That's a nice job of recycling Titch. It came together well.
How does it play with the fishing line strings?
That fretboard looks like Merbau to me, in colour. Does it have yellow flecks/streaks in the pores? A bit hard to see in the pics.... Steve

Nice one -
Well done
Great job of using whats available.
Theres a few videos out there about an entire orchestra that was made using recycled scrap - you might find that interesting -
Just googled it - looks like there are a few of them - the one I saw on TV was a BBC doco - looks like somebody put it up on youtube in 6 parts.
Musical Contexts - Scrapheap Orchestra - Part 6 of 6 - YouTube
and this paraguyan one looks interesting

The fretboard is definitely merbau - has the yellow flecks.
The fishing line strings are not too different from ordinary cheap uke strings, only for about $4 a spool at Big W you get a few hundred meters so cost wise about the same price as one set of ordinary quality uke strings, only I shouldn't run out very soon.
This is the stuff I used
Jarvis Walker Bulk Line Mono - Monofilament - Line - Fishing - Catalogue
Fishing line is one of those things that vary in price almost more than uke strings so your mileage may vary.
For my tahitian style tuned Ukes I bought more expensive 20 lb fishing line.
