I would also recommend Kevin at "Stairway to Kevin" and Perry Ormsby at Ormsby Guitars (both in Oz)

    Thanks for the list.
I'd like to know how members go getting timber from overseas. Does the dreaded Aussies Customs Service get in the way?

I've been apprehensive about buying timber from the US

    Ray,

Stairway to Kevin needs to come off as well, closed down

I recently ordered $500 worth of stuff from Stew-Mac including curly maple back and sides and a neck, I've also ordered rosewood from them before with no problems. I think if the orders under $1000 there shouldn't be any custom fees.
I haven't however ordered more exotic stuff such as stuff from Lmi..there may be problems with this stuff so make sure its not a protected species and that it passes all the tests.

On another note, might wanna update that site and add some new suppliers if people have any..
