PRS double cutaway plans or template.
Does any know where I can get a template or a set of plans for a PRS classic solid body guitar in Australia.

try this guy
buy 3 sets get one free
i got strat, tele and iceman sets of him
gotta watch the details like i found the neck pocket templates were oversize compared to the neck template...apart from that he does a neat job but you gotta really measure and check things before you rout the pocket, pickup mounts, and specially bridge in your high dollar wood.
defintley get you headed in the right direction though
another way is to trace a good flat on photo of the original in corel or similar and get someone to cut it out of mdf on a laser cutter...done that as wellray c
dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

Did you manage to find any other plans? I was looking to get some myself. last attempt i did at getting plans i did by total guess based off other electric guitars i had lying around. and some photo's that i approximated the size with. I did alright at it.
Actually i might do a search. Might come up with something.

Guys, Here are few thoughts:
First, When I wanted a Tele design, I went into my local shop and took a tele off the wall and laid it on a big sheet of drawing paper I had with me and traced around it. You can do that with any guitar - most guitar shops won't mind, but ask first. The key dimensions (scale length, fretboard radius, neck width) for a tele or other standard shapes are readily available
Second, I have used photos (as flat to front on as possible) from the web or books/magazines and scaled the drawing up using the measured distance from the nut to the 12th fret in the pic which is 1/2 the scale length to what I know the real 1/2 scale length is. It is a bit tedious but it is also a great learning experience.
Third, you don't have to create an exact replica to the nearest mm - few people will be able to tell the difference between your shape and the real thing anyway. In fact vary the design slightly to make it your own in some way.
The specific geometry of pickup routs and neck pockets can be determined from your own measurements of pickups (or buy a template from StewMac)
Making a full sized drawing is one of the most useful things you can do to work out neck geometry (neck angle especially) and as a check when you're making the real thing.
Good luck,
