Thanks for the opinions, all.
This build has taken a backseat to life in general, as my wife and I have bought acreage (with big workshop and 3 phase power)no more than 10km away and I'm putting the finishing touches on the current house and workshop ready for a mid-January sell time.
Gimme a week and I should be back in the thick of it again.
Ooh........the promise of things to come........................
Meanwhile, here's something to look at. Back shot and frontal faux binding
Merry Christmas, all. Stu

Wicked Stu. The smooth lines of the neck body join on this are amazing......a real inspiration to have a go at a neck thru......the faux binding is a nice touch.....I look forward to seeing and hearing this baby! If you get sick of waiting, remember I have a set of those SD pups you can use, then just give me yours when they arrive......cheers and happy house prep

Ahh , beaut pic Deano. Thanks for that.
This picture is one of many Deano took with his SLR digital camera whilst at my place a few weeks ago. I haven't seen them yet, apart from this one now.
What's an SLR like that worth BTW ?
Cheers, Stu

I'm sticking with black hardware on this one, Deano..........(maybe )
I went up to Ethereal's place and took up this build.
Considering how I've promised to bring it up nearly every week I've been up that way and never followed through.. Finally gave him a sticky at it.
His are also coming along gangbusters.
Ray, I get my shielding paint from Stewmac when I'm ordering up big.
You got any close contacts for it?
Cheers, Stu

It's hard to believe but this build looks even better in the flesh! The QLD Walnut is striking to say the least and the burst is so smooth on the eye. The sunlight really brings out the colours......oh and the neck is FAST, thin and comfortable all the way. Great build Stu.....can't wait to play it.
Will post pics shortly of progress at my end in the usual thread.
Who is the local supplier of shielding paint Ray? Even if it is a bit more expensive, it would be handy to know as a backup.

Thanks for the 'pre-review' Ethereal. Feedback is always asked for.
I'm still waiting on some hardware for this one. Gotoh 510 tuners, Wilkinson roller TOM, SD humbuckers........all in black.
The front is buffed but the back can wait a little longer til the h/ware arrives.
I'm happy for this one to sit and wait.
Here's the control cover.
cheers,Stu
