the ferrules on my 7 were a pain in the ass to do...
because with them lined up, with about a mm beween each, the string spacing was atleast 4mm wider than the bridges spacing,
so i routed a slot under the bridge, and drilled the through holes at a slight angle into the slot from the centre of each ferrule....
what a PITA
but it worked out, and they are straight
im not using ferrules with lips ever again

Again, due to my laziness there has been a lack of updates, but its almost done. Sanded it through to 1500 grit this morning. Its like glass (almost) I also put the first coat of poly on the neck, and a half coat on the body (just the top, its wipe on poly so it wont matter that I only half did it)
