    Default Red Tele Maple Neck

    Hi.
Not quite done, but almost there.

Body is danta, stained with feast watson proof tint red, cross linked shellac finish, maple neck, zero fret , angled headstock, birdseye fingerboard, sperzel tuners - other stuff Gotoh.

I can't get the exact 'redness' on my phone.

A slightly redder imitation of Jeff Gandy's orange tele which knocked my socks off! )

    I can't get a decent PHOTO!!!

That's beautiful! I want to see the angled headstock.

I've never heard of Danta. How does it sound?

Photos attached. yer basic scarf joint.

The local timber yard reckoned danta was 'mahogany - like' I think it comes from Africa.

I'm still adjusting p'up heights etc. back p'up is very biting front pretty much just right with nice contrast between pick & fingers.

The neck is slightly wider than normal since i'm really working on fingerstyle and I have big fat fingers. It is just right without a hint of being oversize.

That looks really sweet, very clean and simplistically elegant. Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks.

Yeah taking pics of guitars is a bit like that but she's a beauty.
