    Wow, she's huge.
Body wood will need to be 550mm wide, 800mm long and 13mm thick, neck timber will be 100mm wide, 800mm long and 80mm thick... Pricey methinks
Are you sure your scale is correct? Should be more like Body: 350mm wide, 550mm long and 50mm thick?

Floody and Andrew have plastered your thread and provided NO HELP....

There are numerous different types of truss rods, each with different routing methods. I will touch on a few.

    1. Traditional method is to use a single bar which is achored at one end. The channel is routed as a scoup. That is it is deeper in the middle of the neck than at either ends. the bar is placed in the channel, and a fillet is cut which assimilates the channel and fills the gap between the bar and the fretboard.

    2. Fender Style. Same as traditional, except it is routed from the back of the neck for a 1 piece neck and the fillet is glued on the back

    3. Dual Action. Two bars parralel which allow the neck to be bent in both directions. All that is required routing wise is a straight channel of consistent depth into the neck before gluing the fretboard on.

    4. A U-channel truss rod, which is esssentially a rod which sits in a u-section metal channel. The routing is just a straight rout which is uniform depth.

For futher information, feel free to ask questions, however you will get more out of the members if you ask questions that are a little more specific. +

    Cheers

    Peter

    130mm thick sorry!
It's very, very big. Extended scale. I have got the sizes right now.
Pic of the design coming soon/
Thanks peter. I already knew what truss I was using (Double), and I just wondered if I would need a jig or something to do the route.

Okay, pic of my design here. It is pretty much to scale, the only difference being this is rough as hell because I did this rushed. I have better pics somewhere...

Body blanks I supply are 50 mm thickness to allow for finishing sanding.
This is perfect thickness, any thicker than that you are looking for back problems.

The reason for the 60mm is because of the curve behind the bridge - it s hard to see in a 2d sketch, so I had best do a side view now too!
Cross section in the middle and a actual side plan.

Okay, here is the side drafts... I admit, they are rubbish.
I think I may scale down the body now, but the scale length is going to stay 27.5". I may yet make it a 7 string too.

    okay, revised design...
Body is two pieces, one is 650mmx175mm, the other 580mmx175mm, both are about 60mm or 50mm thick, depending on how big the curve behind the bridge will be...
Neck blank is 800mmx100mmx40mm or 30mm thick... not sure yet. Scarf jointed headstock, 15 degree angle. Sperzel tuners, Bareknuckle Nailbombs, Graphtech nut and resomax nv2 tuno bridge, 2 vol, 2 tone, 3 way blade, 2 series/split/parallel, 2 kill, 1 phase switch.

hah, yeah, it is pretty much my own design, kind of based on the ESP F, only not as pointy, and more '3D' than the ESP.
    Why the sarcasm?

Don't be like me, I started a build thread of a build that I am working on lap steel weissenborn got as far as resawing my figured blackwood billet and then came to a stop just too busy supply'ing every one else for there builds.
But never mind I will build it one day, then I will play live on stage with the Who at Webley stadium we will all be in wheel chairs as we will be very old.
