Default Speaking of Australian Neck Timber

Well here is my latest find, you will never believe how much it cost me or where I got it.
The photos just don't do it justice, then again the photos also aren't very good (that ones my fault).
Not sure what to do with it yet, ideas?

You will never believe it but this one comes direct from the Big B at the expense to me of $5. I just happened to be walking through the timber isle because I like to have a look and have found some very nice Tassie Oak there, didn't even have to dig through piles to find this one, it was right at the front.

Luck of the draw, this happens now and then but not very often.
what happens is the guy at the sawmill takes his eyes off the log and lets it slip through, go back and look for more and keep it for more builds.

My first guitar neck in '68 had a centre lamination of Black Bean. Hard and stiff.

Yep the Bunnings timber isle, a place of many wonders. But now I can't decide what body shape to build and I'm itching to start, any suggestions?

Not quite sure about that, would be an interesting build to say the least.
