I've already tried all the obvious outlets. This is an imperial screw (#4) as per the specs on the Gretsch parts list.
Have tried all the speciality screw/fasterner shops in the Newcastle area

Hi,
These links are international pickup parts suppliers. Don't know if you will find gretch parts, but they supply parts for making pickups. Worth a look.

Angela's instruments woohee lemme tell ya...
I avoid that company like the plauge.
I bought a 1" "Chrome plated" Bigsby spring from these robbers for $10 only to be sent an offcut piece of garbage ms spring. It wasn't chrome plated,it was still blue from the cut marks, the ends were all burred still.
Fine if I paid $1 for it.Not fine when I pay $10.Not fine when it's for a customer not just myself. The companies response was that is what a 1" bigsby spring looks like.
No refund offered,no response from ebay on their CLEARLY decietful selling practice and they had the nerve to double charge me postage for something sent in a used envelope at letter rate not small parcel.
I should point out that while I can find these screws online they have a minimum order and minimum postage charge which is outrageous for 4 screws that's why I was looking for a local supplier.I do find it somewhat amazing that pickup mounting screws are not sold as a spare part by gretsch.Last edited by d.m.s; 23rd April 2010 at 01:23 PM. Reason: added my reasons for hating angela since my blog is too risque (sp?)
