Sydney Working with Wood show
For some obscure reason, I have entered my double bass in the Sydney Working With Wood Show competition in the Musical Instruments category (not the wooden boat category as someone else suggested!)
Whatever the category, it is the race to the finish this weekend!!!
So if you're going to the show,
a) check it out and
b) meet up for a beer or something 0414549174
I don't know when I'll be going yet, I haven't been to one of these shows before.
Any tonewood suppliers from QLD going??

If I get a prize, it'll probably just cover the insurance ...
But I have all weekend to print my business cards!

15,16 & 17 June. Go on the Sunday as a relaxation reward after doing the uni exam
And yes, I will be looking at the exhibits this year, so I'll keep an eye out for a Double Bass, once I work out what one is . . . google help!Pat

Hi Mathew,
I had a stickybeek at your "Huge Guitar" at the TWWS today.Mate, that looks great.
You have really put some quality work into it.
I couldn't see what won 1st prize though.
It must have been pretty good to knock you off .
Congrats on 2nd anyway,
Cheers
Greg
PS -Wongos rocker looked pretty good as well.

As there were only two entries, they didn't award a first prize in the section, only second and third. So effectively, I took out first! But didn't walk home with the full prize
But still, I covered my insurance and membership with VWA!!!
Wongo won a second prize too for his rocking chair, same deal i think. Whatever ... we're champs for a day!
