    Default WWWS findings

    Hey there guys,
Was lucky enough to get my hands on some goodies at the working with wood show. Some nice Sassafras, great myrtle and highly figured Blackwood.

Picked up this Queensland maple slab with Stu for a bargain. The slabs roughly 3m long x 1-1.2m wide x 44mm thick..

Any one else get down to the Working With Wood show??

    Hey Deano,
I didn't get there till Sunday around 2pm. I'd say most of the timber left looked like it had been well picked thru. Lots of boards with splits, cracks, warps etc.

I know you guys went on Friday, which is probably the smart move, that you will not
likely get away with next year.

I could only find a plank of Tas Blackwood at the Wild Wood stand ($80) 2.2m x 20cm x 1.5inch. Work that out. Other bits I was looking for were not to be found, or were just too expensive.

Sunday wasn't as great a day as I have seen before at the show, crowds a little thin, and I think the exhibitors were a bit tired, especially seeing how humid it was on Sunday.

Looking forward to next years show.
