    Default Tenor Guitar - anyone ever made one?

    Heh Groovers, I'm looking for info on tenor guitars. I think they are different and give a distinct sound. Regards Damien.

    I made one a while ago, basically a short scale guitar with four strings tuned in fifths (as they should be!). As with most things there is a web page dedicated to Tenor guitars http://www.tenorguitar.com/

    What were you going to do with it, I think Zappa would be impressed to hear "Dancing Fool" on a Tenor...

    Frank would be thouroughly impressed. I was looking for info on scale length and plans in general. I have visited tenourguitar .com. Useful info about makers but no plans. Damien.

    Try http://www.folkcraft.com/1303297.html I just googled Tenor Guitar Plan and there it was. For general lutherie skills Cumpiano's 'Tradition and Technology of Guitarmaking' is a must have, plus there is heaps of information on this forum,
