thickness sanding Newcastle/Lake Mac
Anyone know where I can get some backs/ sides thickness sanded for an acoustic project Just need a few mills off.

I'd be approaching some of our local joineries, surely some of them have drum sanders and would do a "smallish" job like that.

Have you tried the Newcastle Woodturning group.
They have a well setup building at the Showground. I checked it out last week.
I can't remember if the had a thickness sander.
Someone there will know who has one.
It is getting close to the top of my shopping list.Scally

be carefull with community workshop tools
they have good intentions but the tools are often misused and badly set up...
for this project paying a pro to do the job would not be a waste of money -
or at least push some sacrificial boards through to see a result before committing your tonewood in the community workshop thickness sanderray c
dunno what's more fun, buyin' the tools or usin' em'

We have one and do guitar backs and sides all the time... very acurate machine. and we're at gosford. Ring before you drive down as it may be booked.
