    Default Just asking some tips!!

Hello, if anybody can help me I wanna know if someone has ever imported an acoustic guitar in Australia, could you tell me with an example how much (if it is not too much to ask, I apologize before hand) tax and custom duty and how much it was for the total package to pay for it. I will really appreciate it if you can help me in this matter because I am thinking in importing some guitar from overseas, I heard it is cheaper than to buy it here in Australia.
Thank you very much for your help.

Wat kind of acoustic? For the price of some over here now, I wouldnt bother buying overseas..My last one was a $300 Tanglewood and my brother likes it more than his takamine.

If its over $1000 then its not going to be worth it because they will hit you with 10% GST, if its under a grand it might be worth depending on how much shipping would be.

And the rest....once you exceed $1000 (that's total cost ie value of item PLUS shipping etc) Customs will prick their ears up. You may end up wishing you'd bought locally.
