Truss Rods _ Strap verses Rod
Hey all, im currently working on a few strap styled truss rod necks and wondering if anyone else has had a go at them.
Im using 2mm x 13mm steel and high tensile allen key bolts.
They seem to work just as good as the standard trussrods, possibly a little better, concidering they disperse the flex across a slightly wider surface and the route is only 5mm deep.
Aparrently Rickenbacker done some, but im not sure what model/s or how they faired over the years.
Anyway, heres a few pics. I hope they give you all some ideas.

Dont see why they wouldnt work. The only thing Id be wary of is the two straps rattling together....less chance of this happening with the two way LMI rods I use.
Whatever note you blow youre never more than a semitone away from the correct one....(Miles Davis)
