Default Two Down, One to go.

    Hi.
I have finished the second electric guitar in my project of three. I must thank all the members of this forium who gave their advice.

In particular I want to mention Durwood for his posts most notably the one on spraying & french polishing. I must fess up..I spilled thinners on the back mainly and so there are obvious blemishes, but overall I am very happy with the result.

I used it this afternoon playing 'wallpaper jazz' with the treble rolled off & it was great.

They wouldn't let me do "Highway to Hell"

    Here are the specs:
Warmoth Neck: Mahogany with Rosewood fingerboard

    Scale: 24 ¾”

    Body: Myrtle

    Tuners: Schaller, locking

Pickups Neck: DiMarzio PAF Pro DP151

    Bridge: DiMarzio PAF Pro DP151

Bridge, Tailpiece: Gotoh tune-O-matic. TonePros locking tailpiece Studs

    Strap pins: Schaller Strap Lock

Wiring: 1 vol (treble roll off) 2 tone. Coil cut. 3 way P/U Selector

Finish Neck: Water-soluble dye stains on timber, then 'hard’ shellac. Satin finish as per p64 Polishers’ Handbook. Headstock rubbed to gloss.

Body: Feast Watson Proof Tint - Red - in 'hard' shellac then sprayed with nitrocellulose lacquer. Rubbed to gloss.
