    Default My Orion Speakers.

Hi All, just recently joined and saw this forum. I have made a couple of different speaker systems over the last couple of years. While I joined this forums for the woodworking I thought I should post a couple of pictures here

The first was a set of line arrays from the linus plans and the second is a set of linkwitrz orions. I dont have many pictures on hand so here are a couple.

the line arrays were great and very sensitive, about 102db 1w/m but they eventually annoyed the wife so off they went. The orions are also great, they are active speakers each with 2xpeeless 12" woofers, a seas 8" mid and (i forget) tweeter. They make the wife much happier. The orions were built from marine ply with only a slight visible accident which I can fix if I get the urge.

Great looking speakers, definately some serious designs.

Yep, line arrays have a serious WAF problem.

Do you have to place the Orions well away from the wall for best effect?

    Cheers - Phil
