    Default Recommendation for Audio Repairs

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an audio repair specialist.

I own an Audio Analogue Maestro Amp and CD player connected to a pair of Martin Logans. I bought them in Germany in 2002.

However the amp doesn't want to switch on - it has power, fuses intact but won't switch on. I still have the crate it came in BUT it weighs 55kg so I would prefer not to move/transport if I didn't have to. They appear not to have a Sydney dealer/distributer.

    Regards

    Peter

Have you opened the case and done an inspection?

Often there will be an obvious disaster inside. Scorched pcb tracks or blown capacitors.

Be aware that capacitors, especially large ones can carry a decent electrical shock, so look but don't touch.

Unless the damage is visible and simple, your amp is a valuable piece of kit so I would be sending it to the distributors for repair:
