    Default Seeking advice

So, an old fashioned guy sick of all those "mighty" front, rear, (midrear, midfront and all those front and rear, and other......) speakers. I had some experiencess building bookshelf speakers years ago but they've burnt in the war (I mean war in Bosnia) as well as the book with all instructions "how to.." with a couple of nice projects (from those "cheep as a chipss" to those "don't usk for the price") I got myself somewhere in the middle and ended with finished project that costed me arround 1500 german marks (approx 1400AUD) and that was very expenssive excercisse in those years.

Anyhow ......... I am looking for the good quality "allarounder" for litteraly everything, from quite evening with (the only wife I have) and glass of wine to big party which I have occasionally organise in my backyard ( all invited but you have to understand Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Macedonian languages). So good set of two speakers + SUB in the range of some 200-250 W per channell. Give me advice where to go to look for the projects, pricess and drivers. I've tried some searching on Google but ended up - nowhere

    Thank you

If only it were that simple.....

Kit speakers are everywhere....even in Australia
www.wescomponents.com for kits and designs based on Vifa, Peerless and Scan-Speak drivers
http://www.acousticconcepts.com.au/ for designs based on Seas drivers such as the Thor http://www.seas.no/kits%20main%20page.htm

    or pre-made stuff from
    http://www.theloudspeakerkit.com/
    http://www.soundlabsgroup.com.au/c/S...aker+Kits.html Visaton designs from Germany
http://www.decibelhifi.com.au/category24_1.htm EL Jordan designs from Britain

Plus so many more such as www.frugal-horn.com
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

check out some bowers and wilkens at an exclusive retailer, little bit more expensive but top quality loud speaker that can be used all round performer, the retailer may say that the price is not neg but def some room to move so bluff them i have ds603 bookshelf running through a sony amp, probably look at a marantz or yamaha amp though as they will drive them much better, also the speakers themselves were great by themselves b4 i got my sub so may not even need the sub but of b&w have some fantastic subsany further questions just ask
