    Or you could make a lamp. They don't take much timber and think what you would have left over.

    hi guys,
    had a bit of a play on the weekend,i took advice from the forum
    and the owner wanted a bowl on the top[for a plant pot or similar]
    and some of the original timber as it was in the start,also a feminine
    shape or flowing lines
    so i attacked it with a arortech ,first time i have tried it so i was
    a bit apprehensive at first but it worked o.k.
    this is the rosewood blank so far

    i am working on a second one with real wheels as i could not

    I have seen and bought used roller skates in junk stores with quite serviceable wheels for $5.00.

    Inline skates or skate board wheels work well. I like your shape for the vase keep the wip coming.

    the stores we have over here will not sell such things,
    i went to two different stores [vinnies/lifeline]type stores
    and was told they are not allowed to sell them,what kind of world
    are we living in these days by protecting people from such dangerous
    items as skateboards/rollerskates .

    yes.......... as stated i tried to go down that path,but to no avail
    i did buy some wheels at bunnies..cost $1.98 each,
    thanks for your comments,hopefully i will find the time to finish
