At least it's not rings as the engine warms up, as the result of that blow-by is increase fuel and thus engine rpm.....
can be quite scary while driving down the highway at 90-100kph to suddenly increase speed as you let the foot off the pedal.....

    Default Does Nowra

did the Nowra leg of his journey today, hosted by chuck1. Also attended by a couple of the other boys from our woodies club.

, thank you very much for your time and effort.
(I didn't realise we'd taken up so much of your time until I got home - 9 hours.)

I really enjoyed the day and came away knowing heaps more and feeling much more confident in my turning, after a full day of demos and guided hands-on. I just need to go hard at it for a few days and practice all of the new moves while they're fresh in my mind. I know what to do - just have to get used to actually doing it. I already did a quick hour's practice as soon as I got home.

Charlie, thank you for hosting the day at your place, and for making us feel so welcome. Your shed is miles ahead of my little one-car-garage workshop, both in space and equipment. Great lathe collection, too.

I'm no photographer, but a couple of snaps of the day:

I didn't realise you got some shots of me playing with the bowl blank and spindles.
I usually avoid being at the pointy end of cameras. I'm not much of a photographer, but I'm still much better behind the camera than in front.

I thought he was there for wood work, not to look after the kids for you. Although he seems quite apt at that too.

    Default Robbos Rambles.

He even played eye doctor getting a bit of dirt out of Sammy's eye as she went to him instead of me.

This morning she came out to me and said, "where's ???"

    I said he has gone

Sammy said, "but I need him daddy. I need !"

Sammy stayed by my side or on my lap for the best part of 4 hours yesterday watching everything did. Could have a young budding woodworker here.
