I got home last Friday after doing 8000 Km's and seeing most of NSW by meandering backward and forward.
Thank you to everybody that invited me around to their workshops and their homes. I had a great time and learnt some interesting things and it reinforced the mateship amongst the Woodturning fraternity.

Thank you .
Your generosity, both with your time and expertise, is unequalled.
I had a great day when you stopped off here in Nowra and came away knowing far, far more than I did beforehand, (which was nothing).
Been getting in as much practice as possible, too. Gonna be a long road, but I'm enjoying it.... Steve

A late report from 's armidale demo
I only loaded the computer today with a few shots of the Demo at Michael "smiffe" place. I was surprised that there were only 3 of us for to "demo" on. It did mean that we all got a real good go on the lathe using the methods that discussed. My brother had never used a wood lathe at all until that Saturday. He has some experience using metal Lathes though.
's style of teaching is a gift that he freely gives. As the photos show he has a real "hands on manner". The discussions were wide ranging while we drank tea and coffee the after lunch dave opened the bar for a couple of sherbets. Michael's wife kept away during the dusty part of the proceedings but was a great host as well.
Please excuse the layout of the photos, I would have liked to put proper captions under but I have hit the limit of my computer savvy
Basically the photos are of Michael and his wife, then Michael doing a spindle, then my brother Peter on a bowl, then answering a question.
It was agreat day and we are all grateful for taking the time to drop in.Just do it!
Kind regards Rod
