While poor spelling skills are not exactly unheard of on these forums, that poor sod must be one of the worst spellers I have seen online. Having said that, it is easy to be caught out if you are not a touch typist (who looks at the screen and not the keyboard), particularly if your typo or miss-spelt word is the correct spelling of another word.
Earlier tonight, some of us were wishing Toggy all the best for a full recovery from cancer treatment. I wished him "plenty of good shed time soon" but when I looked at what I'd typed, it read "I hope that you have plenty of god shed time soon" Now I mean no offence at all Ken, in 'fessing up here, but at the time I was mighty glad that I had noticed my typo before posting, as wishing a bloke undergoing cancer treatment plenty of god shed time soon, might well have conveyed a totally different meaning to the recipient than what I had intended. I do hope that you get a smile from my confession Ken, and best of luck to you.

Hi,
In regards to the Drummond Bar lathe, they do look nice. I've seen a few restored ones up for sale (some really overpriced I guess) and a few unrestored going for a song. I have considered buying one for the fun of playing around with it but I don't really need another lathe to sit in my ever decreasing shed.
The spelling, well it is easy to make mistakes when typing and the internet really makes it hard to hid or fix your mistakes/bad spelling. On my laptop one of my younger sons pulled all the letter pads off, my eldest son put most of them back on in the right places except for the m, which has a DEL?. pad there instead.
And good luck to Toggy. Hope you getter better soon.
Ben.

What irks me is when I 'proof' read and the typo still gets through.
What a lovely morning; I wonder if the mrs notices me slip er waddle over to the big shed and potter. I promise you it is metal work and ebay related. The subject is a 62 Studebaker bought off ebay and the rear spring shackles are wallowing in the molasses mix. Could look a bit 'queer' with the right wrist up away from the slop and digging around with the left for the bits. Residual smell on the hand could give me away at the dos tomorrow when the wrist stitches come out.
Take the p!ss out of me all you like. No good sooking about it. When I agree with things soon I wont be able to go " ear, ear". It will have to be "ear and a half".
Ken.

Steel plate remnants "new never used"
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bulk-lot-...0860f30&_uhb=1
I guess they are right in a way, the bits that are left have never been used. Probably not too bad a price for what looks to be there.
Re the 3 in 1 lathe, I reckon that one or its brother was offered on ebay maybe 3 years ago. For 4 or 500 dollars that would be a cool gizmo to have in the workshop, but I doubt there will be a bid at that starting price.

I've seen that before, sort of a poor mans set-true chuck. Makes sense if you are doing a lot of parts the same and there is a good reason not to use a collet chuck.

Cold saw
G'day All
I'm having a clean up and have decided to sell my Macc cold saw. Bought it a few years ago to fix up and use but have realised I will probably never get to do that so I've listed it on ebay.
