DIY Compass
Really fed up breaking normal pencils when drawing circles. Made this & when I took it to the club many guys were interested, so thought I would share it here.
Slot for pencil is a small piece of Jarrah drilled with 2 holes in line & chiselled to fit. The point is a masonry nail.2014-11-17-07.56.52op.jpg2014-11-17-07.57.02op.jpg2014-11-17-07.57.25op.jpg
This one is for a "carpenters" pencil which are about 25 x 7mm oblong, & is just a push fit.

Thanks for that Col, I like the idea of using the carpenters pencil and the measurements on the arms, are they radii's?
