My thinking is that is some sort of rating for the thread and if it is, then it is certainly well deserved (probably should be 10 stars).

I noticed them myself just the other day.
Some nice person has rated the thread pretty highly.
At the top right of each page just under the page counter itself is a tab that says "rate this thread".

Whoever pushed the button thanks it's a nice little Christmas Present!

It's the environment rating on its fuel consumption.

    Someone's been a busy boy.

I ran out of superlatives for this project long ago. Words completely fail me.

Looking fantastic, Trevor. Your dedication and all of those late nights have really paid off. I'm hoping I can make it to Dave's get-together to see it in the flesh.

52,856 views! Gotta be a new record.

Have you been in touch with the people at Indian at all? I'm sure they'd be more than impressed, and might want to use pics and give you $.
(Tell 'em you'll trade some pics in exchange for a 2015 Indian Scout. )

    Thanks Ian,
It makes me really happy that you enjoy the thread.
Not to far to go now and the Indian will be done.
It's been a long road but I've enjoyed every minute of it.

Thanks I really hope you can get to Dave's it would be great.
I haven't spoken to Polaris, I sort of figure if it's the kind of thing their interested in they'll find me.
And to be really honest I'd rather show my work to a group of school kid's than to a big Company.
    Although a 2015 Scout would be great, but I'd rather a 28!.

The views are a lot more than I ever would have imagined.
But it's really nice to think there's that amount of interest in my work.
As specially at the moment when I'm trying to make a hinge out of the inside of a Bic pen and a bicycle spoke.
It honestly makes me wonder what the heck I think I'm doing sometimes.
But then I remember I'm just having fun!.

    Cheers Guy's and thanks.

I've had a good day getting the carries for the tyre pump done.
There's only the one that hasn't had a coat of red.
The first one I did came up well and should look nice against the nickel of the pump.

You can see in the picture below the hinged one is made from MDF, Pine, PVC, rivets, a bicycle spoke and the inside of a Pen.
The wing nut is from a old TV ariel.

The spoke that I'm using as a hinge pin is a little sort, I'll cut a new one after I paint the carrier.

Hopefully it's a nice morning tomorrow, and I'll get the Indian outside for some photo's.
Have a great Christmas Eve Folk's

    Cheers
    Trev.

Happy Christmas Trev. This post has been going for a little over 13 months now, and I would like to personally thank you for the immense pleasure that it has given me in that time. I cannot think of anything on the forum, that has come close to presenting the amount of enjoyment that this thread has.

Thanks for that mate it's really appreciated.
I started the bike a couple of months before the Thread, so by the time the Indian's finished it will of taken about 16 months to build.
I bit over my one year time frame, but well worth the extra hours.
I hope you have a Happy Christmas as well.
    Thanks again.

Hey Peter I hope you have a fantastic Christmas mate.
I don't think anyone will argue if I say your pretty much the heart and soul of the Toy making forum.
Your the first to encourage and the last to criticise!
In fact your damn close to being Santa yourself.

    Right back at ya mate.
Hope you have a great day!.
    Merry Christmas.

There's not a lot going on this time of the morning Christmas Day.
But I've been messing around with the bike patching up small bits of damage to the paint that happened while assembling parts.
I put the tyre pump back on just to see how it would look with it's carries.

With a couple of bass pieces that I've found for the ends of the pump it should look pretty good.
Hopefully in couple of hours when the suns up, I'll be able to get the Indian outside for some photo's.
Until then more painting and lots of coffee!.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Looking great Trev. I agree what you say about Peter, mind you everyone who is on here are a great bunch always prepared to answer questions on how they make something and also willing to have a laugh.

I certainly look forward to the new photo's in the morning it is getting like Christmas now that you are getting closer to the finish and ready to unwrap the finished bike (it is still well before midnight on Christmas eve here)

Well now where do I start
I know an Indian bike with many a part
But hell, where to find all the bits
Maybe to the recyclers and rubbish tips

The motor looks tricky so that’s the first
Much head scratching and inspiration in bursts
MDF, nuts and bolts from past uses unknown
Even a credit card into the mix was thrown

As time went by and the Indian grew
His postings gathered an admiring crew
    With humour and good banter
Many offered help with a ready answer

    The word started to spread
As many in amazement scratched their head
To follow this work of a craftsman
All done at two third scale without a plan

With Crowie and Dave TTC longing for a ride
In his work Trevor takes much pride
But as Trevor of late has said
All this I have done without a decent shed

With photos and MS paint along the way
Such detail has many stare in dismay
For many an eye will never know
That this masterpiece will never go

To each of us much joy he has given
Like all great artists he has a passion
As the creative juices ebb and flow
With anticipation we see the Indian grow

As Trevor has said in posts past
This Indian will not be the last
Into my mix of bikes I will throw
Another one , the renowned Brough

And as we near the end of this build
With our curiosity waiting to be filled
We applaud you for your talents rare
We thank you too for letting us share
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers
    Ray
