Keith, Crowie mentioned to me, on another forum, that you had a build going again. Hurray! I'm excited and somewhat late. I will have to spend a few day catching up on this build. This is exciting!!

Paul,
Great to hear from you again. This is a handsome train to build - thanks to Derek suggesting this locomotive. Hoping I am giving it a bit of justice.
The good thing is that there is a Lion Historical Society in the UK which has photos and information that can give a better insight on the locomotive. They are good, friendly people.
Crowie, thanks for contacting Paul - appreciate it.
Again - pleasure to hear from you Paul,
All the Best
Regards
Keith

Just a heads up if it is of any interest. The 1953 movie "The Titfield Thunderbolt" is getting an airing on GEM Monday midday movie.

Hi all,
Bowled yesterday. Came through unscathed physically BUT lost. Winning not everything I suppose. Good to be getting back to normal. Now onto the important things - Straightened all the edges, smoothed and chamfered edges and sanded all the boiler cladding boards. Made up a Vee fixture to hold the boiler in position as I glued all the boards on. Used contact adhesive to secure the boards to the PVC boiler. Happy with the outcome so far.
Regards
Keith

Well Crowie,
I don't think I look quite as old, but probably feel it. Thought I would send a photo of me, grandson and dog just before my return to the game on Saturday (Cathie wanted to take it). Now you know what I look like. This will be the last on bowls - back to TRAIN BUILDING - Yabba Dabba Doo !!!!!

Who's the little bloke in the corner in blue???
You'd best keep an eye on him this coming long weekend as there is a big convention at Glenbrook on the Lower Blue Mountains .....
*********************************************************************************************************
Planning is now well advanced for our 11th Annual Australian Gnome Convention on Monday 26th January 2015. Who would have thought all those years ago that 1st Convention would become an annual event and provide so much fun and enjoyment to thousands of visitors of all ages over the years? Not to mention the Gnomes themselves, many who will be attending their 10th or even their 11th Convention to be re-acquainted with their friends.
Blue Mountains City Council has given “in principal” permission for the Convention site in Glenbrook Park to be permanently landscaped in a sympathetic manner to allow better access. Work may commence in time for the 2015 convention.
We already have had enquiries from Interstate and Overseas and are expecting a record number of registrations. Registration is free and pre- registration is not required. Gnomes should have their carers bring them along on the day to the official desk for recording (to ensure they can be reunited at the end of the day) between 8.30am and 11.30am after which they will be escorted to their place.
While the day is for all Garden Gnomes to get together, chat (in Gnomish of course) and have fun, some special awards will be made, with judging scheduled at 12.00noon.
· Garden Gnomes
· Working Gnomes
· Sporting Gnomes
· Aussie Gnomes
· International Gnomes
· Corporate Gnomes (see Below)
· Rescued Gnomes (from the 2009 Cootamundra Gnome rescue)
· Painted or Decorated Gnomes
· Painted or Decorated Gnomes - children 12 or under
· Bushfire Gnome survivors or Fire Fighters
