Let's not go there with the name tag fiasco Peter.
I hope that abomination has been duly dispatched to the great hereafter!
Next year I'll be the one not wearing the damn thing!.
I'll have the bike well roped off Keith.
Tayne's suggesting razor wire and landmines.
I hear word that there could be two or three Brough's at the rally.
Here's hoping.
Cheers Guy's

Hope you enjoy the rally, as I am sure many will enjoy seeing your scale model Indian.
Bit of a bugger not being able to be in two places at once, isn' it?
Don't forget to take your camera!

A couple of Pelican shots.
There's a lot of them on the lagoon.
It's wonderful sitting out on the deck and watch them ride breeze.
This guy was looking to have a nap and seemed to think the light post on the corner was as good a place as any.
It's a clever thing they've got going on with the black around their eyes.
You swear their looking at you even when sleeping!
Cheers

I was sitting out on the deck yesterday morning when I got caught in photographer's no mans land.
A very colourful bug landed and I had a 300mm on the camera which has macro but I couldn't get close enough to use it.
So all I could do was to back away and use the zoom.
The images as such aren't very sharp "which narks me no end" but I've never seen the little critter before.
And he really did add some colour to the morning.
Cheers

Speaking of "photographer's no mans land", lve been cleaning the place up for the street's Christmas Party tonight, an annual event that used to end up with the police being called to check for drugs but now ends when the rest of the street have to go home to take their medication!
l haven't been able to clean up the far side of the pool because Mrs Duck had taken up residence to hatch her 2015 crop and, beggar me, there I am vacuuming the pool just as Mrs Duck leads her 8 ducklings into the pool for their first swim!
l don't normally carry the Nikon while standing beside the pool ( bad memories of past crash tackles!) but I did have my mobile on me.....

..... so, it was mobile or nothing? Shortly after Mrs Duck had decided they were all waterproof, and I wasn't watching, she led them all off, presumably to the river, which is 500 metres, 3 dogs and 20 kurrawongs away. I hope they made it!
flettya rock is an obsolete tool ......... until you don’t have a hammer!

Trev, your bug in post #140 is probably a Metallic Shield Bug, or Metallic Jewel Bug. I have pics of a very similar one which was Scutiphora pedicellata (more or less the same pattern but a different colour combo).
