Been working away over the last couple of days adding detail to the two halves of the crankcase.
The really good thing is the two parts join up pretty well.

To get the right look the trick is not to match the two edges perfectly.
The case would have been cast in two halves and for that reason they're never quite the same as each other.
(Also makes a good excuse for slack workmanship as well.)

The big lump of MDF on top will be the cover for the timing gear.
Cheers

G'Day Trev, While you were missed at Dooen you certainly haven't been wasting any time, I love the details & the finish...
A master class by a master craftsman indeed....thank you for all the time & effort to document the project then posting it with notes for all to share..
Cheers, Peter

"BOOM BABY I'M BACK"
We had a storm down here on Friday and the internet got fried!.
But I haven't been lollygagging, I've gotten lots done on the crankcase.
I even managed to bend Tottenham fletty!
It's all been given a nice coat of primer.
The nuts and bolts are only temporary just loosely holding things together until some more suitable ones are found.

Lots of photos I know but I'm pretty pleased with the way it's come out.
The lettering was done with a stencil some bodyfiller and masking tape.
The trick at some point will be to carve the Brough Superior script into the timing cover.

The weathers pretty good down here at the minute so hopefully I'll be able to stay online for awhile.
Or at least until the net gets toasted again!.
Cheers
