It's rained down here pretty much none stop for 24 hours.
I hope it's hitting the other side of the state and putting a dampener on those fires.

Anyway I only got a couple of shots off early in the morning before it set in.
Luckily one of them was the "Priority Bird".

Patchy would be the best way to descried the day.
It's been raining a lot and there weren't to many opportunity's to get the camera out.
But still managed to get a few.

A little Thornbill out find some lunch in between the rain.

He had some good luck, me not so much there's always a pesky twig somewhere (Never Mind Can't Win Them All).

A Spotted Pardalote sitting on the front fence.

And honestly Dave I couldn't buy a Blue Wren for love nor money.
Thank heavens for the back catalogue.

    Hi Trev,
l hope all OK? We took a pounding from the storm last night but I had only just got back from my trip and I haven't been down the back to the shed to check for damage yet!
Helen wants me to tell you that ABC radio yesterday was advising that the University of Tasmania is asking for volunteers to do a "daily census of local birds at their place" and report via an app that they provide. She reckons that request has your name written all over it?

    Thanks for that guy's.
Everything is fine we got hit with a monster storm on Friday (mind you Saturday was no picnic either) and it knocked the internet out.
The new one just arrived and we're back in business!.

I didn't get any lightning shots Charlie, all we had here was mainly sheet and not much chop.
It just dumped rain like there was no tomorrow!.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Fair to say the camera didn't get outside to much over the last few days.
The 600 Sigma is weather sealed but even still.
The sun rarely came out so most of the shots I got are in low light.

I think we're just about at the end of the Blue Wren run for the moment Dave.
It's getting hard to find any with good colour.
Their like the Cowboy "All Turning".

    IMG_2421.jpg IMG_2430.jpg

It was a shame that the light was so bad when this Tassie Thornbill found his breakfast.
But you can't win them all.

    IMG_2443.jpg IMG_2444.jpg IMG_2445.jpg

Hopefully I can get back on track today.
But having said that it's just starting to rain.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Looks like you are keeping your birdie friends well fed there Trev.
There were virtually no birds at Dave's GTG, apart from a couple of pardalotes in the Peppercorn tree out the front, and a couple of galahs (flying sort!).
Your framed Blue Wren had many admirers, great shot.

    Have fun,

    Alan...
