That's a great array of shots. It's a shame to see those old buildings degrading like that and left to fall into ruin. The countryside is amazingly green, a bit different to around here.
Did you pick up a bigger lens in your travels? The birds look even closer than normal.

    G'day Trev,
I'm sure the kookaburra was sizing up the rabbits for his lunch in the photos from yesterday...

And a word of advice, free and maybe not worth much, BUT while those old builds are tops to photograph, may I suggest if you bought one, the "billy carts" and the "photography" would suffer and the you'd have to move to the Renovator Forum...that's something none of us would like..... ....

Don't mind me Trev, I just selfishly appreciate your "billy carts" and "photography"... Cheers, Peter

But can you imagine what the end result would look like

Not a great lot of time with the camera yesterday, pretty busy with the stand for the J.A.P engine.
But got some shots I like.

    IMG_6637.jpg IMG_6643.jpg

    A Yellow Throated Honeyeater.

    IMG_6649.jpg IMG_6654.jpg

A pair of thoughtful Kookaburra's in the gum tree at the back door of the shack.
I didn't even need to stand up from the work bench just turn around and take the shots.

    IMG_6712.jpg IMG_6713.jpg

    Nice little Grey Fantail.

We're right down to calling him Spot now Dave.

Looks like the Kookaburra's might be enjoying your build too, they have an eye for detail, the ability to magnify anything at a distance.

It's amazing if you go back to your first post Trev and look at your first photo of the blue wren. You wouldn't even think they were the same species now. Your latest one looks so forlorn and shaggy. I guess that is just his winter woollies so he can tuck himself into a tree and no-one will see him or annoy him.

Your right about things changing Dallas, the birds around the Shack seem to turn up a lot more sporadically at the moment.
And when they do have little time for Lollygagging around for the camera.

Rosella in the She Oak, a Wattle Bird and a New Holland Honeyeater.

    IMG_6725.jpg IMG_6743.jpg

A couple of Silvereyes getting breakfast.

    IMG_6717.jpg IMG_6719.jpg

This little guy was the only Wren I saw all day.

    IMG_6776.jpg IMG_6777.jpg IMG_6778.jpg

Mind you this Rosella made up for it when he was trying to land on the crown of a tree that wouldn't hold him.

    Cheers
    Trev.
