G'Day Trev, Please sent the rain north - anywhere from central Victoria to the Cape...
We have only had 50mm in over 4 months here but then others in the inland haven't had that in 4yrs....
Keep sending the beaut photos through please, my old gent seems to as I enjoy them, thank you...
When it does clear up maybe a few insert photos would be good too, but the birds are the "bee's knee's", love them..
    Cheers, Peter

Now that I've got the photographic "Bug" back in my life I'll see what I can do Peter!.

Finally a beautiful clear morning to have a walk around the place and take a few shots.

I live in the bush and we have white cockatoos, kookaburras and not much else and you have such a variety of different species, it almost seems unfair. Maybe the cockies did a number on the other species and frightened them off.

It's a Yellow Wattlebird the largest Honeyeater in Australia and the most unattractive.
Although I'm sure his mum doesn't think so!.

I grow up in Mildura so most of my life I thought the only birds in the country where Crows and Sparrows.
But the one I could never workout was why where the Seagulls so obviously lost!.

I spent a lot of time working in the shed yesterday and not enough with the camera.
But a short walk around the place got me a few nice shots.

The second and third photo's on the top row are female then male Scarlet Robins.
The first photo is a Robin as well but it's a Dusky Robin.

    Cheers mate

I must of pushed the wrong button earlier this morning my post seems to have gone bye bye.
Never mind I'll just do it again.

Now what was it (something along the lines of).
Not much around yesterday although taking a wonder down the hill into the jungle I did find some more weirdness.

    IMG_1770.jpg IMG_1777.jpg

I really must take a smaller lens down there sometime.
The 600 is a little out of place in that neck of the woods.

Well I may have to just keep myself to posting on the photographic forum after this mornings debacle with the Brough thread.
My good mate Charlie has exposed me as a person who will stoop to the use of Phillips head screws!.

I don't know what to say other than at the time they where all I could find (Not that that's a good enough excuse for such poor form).
Hopefully some bright and cheery photo's will redeem me to some degree.

I don't know that the photo's help much.
I still feel pretty low about what's happened.
Kinda like the sort of person who'd drive to kill an end in a game of lawn bowls.
    You know the type Charlie!.

    Cheers

    Trev,

I think I know where you may have got the "dreaded screws". Are there bower birds down there that you could photograph.

I hope everyone knows that it is just good fun between me and Trev.

In awe of all your work mate
