Alan I'd almost be tempted to tie on behind and be towed there and back there is so much temptation in that lot on both days.
So when you have bought it ALL and built the new facility to house it we might have to venture south and pay entry to the Fletty Museum

Under the guise of a shed build, this thread branched out in to many other areas and some of these areas need to be closed out or, in a few cases, morphed into more appropriate threads. So, here's a bit of a wrap up.
On my wish list were a better way to cut sheet goods and, for safety reasons, a retro fit riving knife to fit to my table saw.
To help with sheet goods, I have bought a second Sheppach track for my track saw plus a joining kit to give me a 2400mm capacity. The riving knife however, has taken on premonition status! The sort of thing you think about AFTER the accident leaving you wishing you had done it!
To 'scratch' this itch, I have bought a BORK (Bolt On Riving Knife) from a fellow Forumite (thanks Steve).

Fitting this will become a new thread as it's got a fascinating back story!
Now to the auction at Cowra. Yes, I went. Yes, I had money in my pocket and a wish list of my own and for some others. What did I buy? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
Why? Here's a few clues....
image.jpg image.jpg
PART of the crowd....
image.jpeg
....and this relatively modern oil bottle stand went for $450!
image.jpg
....and this horse drawn steam engine went for $40,000!
So, my $250 budget wouldn't have got me far?
And now, back to the shed. Everything unloaded from the old shed was to be moved back into the new shed which is twice the size of the old ......... but it won't fit ?
Thus was born the concept of the 'trailer carport/storage extension' ........ and the forum involvement continues!
If you've been wondering where DaveTTC is, he's been at my place helping with the 'storage solution'.....
image.jpeg
... but part of the work has been cutting down a couple of privet branches and, for a seasoned turner like Dave, well what's a young man to do when the mundane work has finished at the end of the day and his new lathe has been stored in my shed.....

I thought that the idea was that the trailer storage are was to be a deck off the old shed over the fall of the land?
that and I thought a certain trailer was at your place temporarily. Now it won't want to leave.

A man of many talents is Dave and he does a good job. Don't keep him too long Fletty as he has to come back to my place and do a bit more.

Looking good Alan, might as well use the land and the services of a good tradesman to good advantage......
GREAT PITY THE COWRA "SPEND-A-THON"....Just can't fathom some folk who go crazy and over pay just because it's an auction.....

Thanks for the flood concerns folks but we are OK. The river flooding only got to within 60 metres of the shed but stormwater from the other side bolstered by pool overflow passed through the shed on its way to the swollen river and left mud and debris which has now been cleared.
For those who came to the gtg, this is the view after driving out my back gate, turning right and driving 100 metres....

However, not everyone is being treated as kindly as us. I don't know how to break it to FenceFurniture but this is yesterday's ABC picture of his favourite pub, the King George IV at nearby Picton....

...be strong Brett!
