Looks a bit "grey" and overcast Trev. (Now do I tell Trev that's a pun or not ????)

Thanks for the Kangaroo and Wallaby mate

Well it's raining again here now, but we did get a bit of a brake in the weather yesterday.
It was just long enough to get a few shots.
Thank heavens I was really starting to go through shutter withdrawal there for a minute!.

Here's some more weirdness that's sprung up around the place since the rain set in.

Only a Wren a New Holland Honeyeater and a Fantail where around to photograph.
But that was more than enough to keep me happy.

Great photos as usual Trev. You will have to take a good photo of a male fairy wren for DaveTTC to see if you can get him out of hibernation.
We have been seeing some incredible footage of floods in Launceston, hoping you are staying dry and warm in your workshop.

Although we've had a ton of rain here the property is on the top of a hill so the water is only ever flowing through.
I've emptied the rain gauge twice in the last week.
The shed stayed nice and dry the hole time, but it will be better when I get a combustion heater in there.

Most of my time was spent in the shed yesterday so there's not a lot of photos today.
Just a few Rosella's in the garden late in the afternoon.
But I don't think Charlie will be to unhappy with that.

    Thanks Trev,

At least your water tanks will be full.
Glad you haven't had any damage

    Regards to you and Tayne

That's a whole heap of rain to empty the rain gauge twice Trev....
The parrots would definitely appreciate the sunshine and flowers...
Also very glad to hear that you're getting yourself a wood heater for the shed as with no shoes and no sleeves it must be cold out there....
THANK YOU and Keep the photos coming, Cheers, Peter

Things are going very well down here.
I was going to write despite the rain, but in all honesty I really enjoy it.
If it wasn't for all the rain the countryside wouldn't be so beautiful.

Overcast and windy yesterday but I managed to snap a few around the place.
I know Charlie was a little surprised by how dexterous the Rosella's can be with their claws.
In the third shot you can see she's pulled a single blade of grass down, and is eating the seed head like it's corn on the cob.

The bit of weirdness below is the same one as from yesterday, now fully open less than 24 hours later.

    IMG_2333.jpg IMG_2343.jpg IMG_2354.jpg

The New Holland Honeyeater has pretty much taken over the tree in the garden.
The poor old Eastern Spinebill! aka Herbert.
First getting chased off by a Crescent Honeyeater now a New Holland.

In the last photo of the row above the New Holland has spotted Herbert in the tree beside his.
I really think you can see the look of disdain in his eye.

    Thanks for the photos Trev.

Ozzie would love it down there - all those toadstools ( For those who don't know - Ozzie is our dog who likes to eat toadstools - have to do a toadstool hunt each morning to stop him eating them)

Have a good day on the Brough mate

The New Holland Honeyeater left Herbert alone just long enough yesterday that I could get a couple of photos.

    IMG_2477.jpg IMG_2527.jpg IMG_2539.jpg

In the first photo of the blue wren's a gust of wind has given him a new hair style or should that be a feather fluff!.

    IMG_2579.jpg IMG_2609.jpg IMG_2646.jpg

Even got lucky with just a little bit of colour for Cowboy.

    Cheers

I've got some photos from yesterday but their all about a car show over in St. Marys.
So I'll post them on the Indian thread a little later.
But so as not to let the side down here, I've got a couple of shots I didn't post from the other day.

The first ones an Eastern Spinebill hovering in a tree.
There's to much foliage in the way but I still like the shot.

    IMG_2401.jpg IMG_9878.JPG

I've got a funny feeling the little tree frog at the backdoor the other night was looking to get in out of the cold.
And fair enough to even the puddles from the rain the day before where frozen over in the morning.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Just cruising the forums when I saw Scamander, I spent many holidays as a kid at my grandparents place in Pringle St, I remember walks down to the servo/shop, the walk back up the hill troubled my knee, I remember ma trying to encourage me to keep going, I think I can, I think I can.......45 yrs ago..I just had a look and it's all still there, the servo, the hotel/motel, the old house, looks like they have done an extention, great photos too.
