Sprint car
Got hold of the Gatto Sprint car plans so here's my try at it.
The plans call for a scroll sawed frame but changed it up a bit and added dowels for the tube frame look.
I just use what dowels I had around the shop but the rest is cherry and walnut.

Here's the finished frame still need to build some tires.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
The tires up above are rejects from three different builds.
Thanks Crowie for helping me get a head start on this one.

Got her done and if and when I may make another one I would build it to a larger scale so I could more details to it, O and let me add that it really looks cooler without the fairing.

Great build.
In Australia the Sprint Car season is just beginning so your post is well timed.
It looks like you had the push car frame on the rear and then you removed it. The sprint cars do not have a starter, to start the engine they are push started by another vehicle, hence the frame at the rear.

Handyjack Yes I had it on the back and tried to touch it up with the belt sander and it exploded and just never got around to adding another one.
I was thinking it was more of a crash guard so may just add a simple t bar type pusher like I see on some of the dragsters.
Thanks of the info, half the fun of building these models is doing research about them.
