    +1 for what crowie said.

You furniture is a work of art. Your art is good (wall) furniture.

    Hi All,

Decided that the conference / dining room needs a piano. This is going to be a good challenge. Cathie has a music box which is about 1/7th of the scale that I need to build. So that will be a good prototype for dimensions. Will have individual keys (but won't play music). Converting to my own version of a baby grand piano. Think it will take a while to build.

    Regards

    Keith

    Hi All,

One of my mates wanted to see how I was going with the piano. It is going to have an opening top. It is my design - (a Keith Steinway Ha Ha)
Hey Trev, there are not enough keys because if I put a full keyboard in it wouldn't fit across the carriage in my scale. Anyway - still lots of work to do on it . Nothing really secured in position yet. I have cut a mirror to sit as the front panel. On to the woodlathe to make some ornate supports between the keyboard and the base.

    Take Care

    Regards

    Keith

    "...in my scale."
What range were you thinking of. Normal piano is 7 octaves and has 88 keys.
I like what you have done but am not sure about the mirror. Pianos normally have a music stand/or rack when the lid is open. The front could be adorned with molding and candle holders.
At 3 octaves I think we could still play some decent tunes in most scales.

    Kevin,

Will have an opening lid. Have made up the strings and hammers. There will be a music stand. Patience will be required until I finish it. Think it will look Mini Grand. Probably shouldn't have posted a Work In Progress - just wanted to let people know how I was making it. The finished article will look a lot different than the photo I attached.

    Take Care

    Keith (Steinway)

    I'll second that!.
Good luck Charlie Boy "Not That You Should Need It".
Your a top flight bowler in fine form.
I'll even let you off the hook and say Driving is in for the day.
I mean to say it's the Club Championships "All's Fair".

    Cheers Mate.

    Thanks guys

    But I lost - 25 to 18.

A great game - I wouldn't have changed any of my tactics - proud of my game. He was a bit better than me on the day - Good on him. His first Championship - Congrats to him. Always next year as the one who loses says. But Bowls has been good to me. I am sore and buggered. Pennant today - Hopefully a win. Thanks for your support

I'm sure on the day your opponent played a better game.
But I'd never say a better man!.
There's a lot more about you than just bowls that makes you a champion!.

    Cheers mate

To all my mates and supporters on the Forum - I would like to to know that Cathie (Cathiequilter) and I have been married for 40 absolutely fantastic years today. It is also her Birthday. (No we didn't get married on her Birthday so I would only have to buy her one present). I hope you all have a great day as I am sure we will.

    All the Best

    Keith
