    Really nice photo Derek

Trev - is this the unit that we were talking about nearly 6 months ago? It's a nice looking steam engine

    Regards

Thanks for finding the photo Derek.
It's both a beautiful and wonderful thing to see.

Your right Charlie this is what we where talking about.
I have to admit at some point I'd really love to build a 2/3 scale Showman's engine.
All those fiddley, wonderful, detailed parts everywhere.
    I'd call that heaven!.

    Thanks again Derek.

    Cheers
    Trev.

That's a really nice image, all up one of the best I've seen.
I can see myself somewhere down the road building some 2/3 scale petrol bowsers.
But then you'd have to do the garage and a pickup!.

Maybe that's the way to go 2/3 scale dioramas.
That'll freak them out at the Model Expo!.

    Cheers mate

Sounds like I'd better make the seat and the foot pegs on the Brough pretty sturdy!.

But I've got to say I don't think anyone but Dave could have got away with the balancing act he came up with to make it look like he was seating on the Indian.
It's amazing how many people the photo fools!.

    IMG_3150.JPG

The two things you can't see in the photo are the rope his hanging onto to keep his balance over the bike.
If you look closely at the photo you can the shadow of the rope behind the back wheel.
The others his left foot on the ground behind the bike (I took it out of shot on the computer).

It was a heck of a good trick.
But it's caused a nightmare ever since.
Everyone who sees the photo wants sit on the bike.

    Cheers
    Trev.

Anyone with a keen eye would see that the back wheel is off the ground and you can see the rear stand, but it is good fun to play with people's perceptions sometimes. Then again you could photo shop the stand out and tell people he just came to a sudden stop.
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

    Cheers
