Has Anyone Seen My Tape Measure
I have lost my beloved 2 metre BMI tape measure, which one of you blokes has been in my shed and pinched it? I like to blame Dave for stuff like this but I can't as he has an alibi. I hate losing stuff and I know exactly what I was measuring and when and I still can't find it.

It will be in the last place you look. So if you are a clever man, you will look there first

Last time I saw it, it was inching its way out the door.

It is just so annoying, I know it is in there, the shed is pretty clean and everything has its place etc and I still can't find it. I looked in the washing machine as well, that usually finds things for me but no go.

I'd better go and check the tool bag. I'll get back to you.

You have probably looked at it three times when searching for it, and didn't see it!

I just checked. I thought that your tape might be hiding here in my computer desk. But alas the one hiding in my desk is 3.6 M and it is ambidextrous. (Twelve feet and 3.6 Meters.)
Now if I can only remember this conversation when I go back out to the shop and I'll know where my tape is hiding.

Do you have any pets or vagrant wild life like a possum? Animals have a habit of either moving things or taking them and hiding them in their favourite places. I have a possum that likes to break into the garage and throw stuff off the shelves, which I have to pick up and try to put back where they should go.

I lost my knife that sits on my panel saw rip fence when I am not using it. After wandering around for ages and ages looking for the damn thing, I eventually shot down to bunnies to buy a new one. Three months pass by, and the loss of my knife had completely skipped memory. But then the slider on my panel saw began to get stuck. I could see something hanging down on the underside of the slider and getting jammed against the slider support. I thought it was a bolt or something which had rattled loose. A few hours of farting about I eventually got the thing out. It was my knife that I had lost three months ago.
When the slider was pushed all the way forwards, it exposes the lower slider support, which is a great place to put a knife on........maybe not such a great place

Check the freezer.
Friend lost his car keys to his old ute, he would normal just leave them in the door pocket after he had parked it in the shed but the disappeared.
He searched high & low for more than a week until his wife found them in the freezer.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

I share your suffering, my Lufkin multiread tape is MIA. So is my true32 tape from Fastcap. Doesn't matter that I have a drawer full of other tapes, the reason they're in the drawer is they're not nearly as useful.
Have you checked the dust collector? Every video I've seen of a Clearvue shows them sucking up a tape measure
