In the process of doing all that you would probably find the lost item anyway...

And come to think of it, what would you do if you have lost something she does not know you have bought?

    Cheers

It might have been the cockatoo which lives in our backyard and follows Mrs P. around during the day and then goes north at sunset towards your place.

Every time a see a post by Chris on this thread, I get excited that he has found the missing tape! But alas, the tape has found a good hiding spot. Surprised it hasn't come to light after a replacement has been bought, which seems to go against Murphy's Law.

I had one last place to look which I had been putting off, sorting out the wood rack. Last night I did just that but no tape measure was found unfortunately so the search keeps on going so stay tuned for the rest of the story.

Funny you say that, I had to pull the ice maker out of the freezer last night because it had jammed and didn't see the tape in there while I was doing it.

The family member who has borrowed it knows they are deep in it.

If he has I will do him serious injury. Last week I was in Bunnings and bought an 8 metre tape because I have not seen mine for a while and thought someone may have borrowed it unknowingly, it happens when other people are working with you doing stuff around the house and I was not too worried as it only gets used for construction or landscaping jobs and I try to avoid those these days. Anyway some days later number one son walks out to the workshop and gives me the 8 metre tape I had been missing, I didn't say a thing but I thought a thing or two. I wonder if you can get a GPS tracker for a tape measure.
