    Hi All,

I have pinstriped the tender (sides and rear) and have now filled the holes that the rail on top of the tender sat in.

Am now working on the rear buffer plate and also need to paint and fit the linkages to connect the six tender brake assemblies.

Once that is done I will commence work on the new lanterns for this locomotive.

The locomotive and tender overall length is just on 1.9 metres

For comparison - I have included a photo of the unpainted (primed) locomotive and after the majority of painting has been carried out.

    Regards

    Keith

In undercoat or top, it's a stunner. That said, the colour on it really makes it live!

Thanks for your kind words Peter - Still a fair bit to go. Rear buffer assembly, new lanterns, tracks and sleepers with ballast etc. Love working on model locos.

Really looking forward to the "Rocket" - lots of Engineering components.

    Regards

    Keith

    Thumbs up So nicely done!!

It's turned out so nice the track will really set it off as you know from your other builds.
The picture just don't do it justice or give us a feel for it's size but out standing non the less.

    Thanks Bruce.

The tracks will add that bit extra. I will get Cathie to take a photo with me behind it for some idea of scale - but must warn you - I am trying to grow a beard

    Regards

    Hi Guys,

Following request - here are photos showing the size of my loco (compared to me and my dog) The dog is a larger than normal chihuhua.

Wish I had the amount of hair Crowie has

    Alan,

That looks like a Trev job - same colour as his "Indian".

What a dog. Sorry meant to type what a man. Damn, I should have said what a loco. Has come up well with the paint.

You can imagine the lamps could cop a bit of abuse in service being taken off and on the irons regularly. Being cleaned and refilled on a daily basis. While they are solid items and the basic design may not change much I am sure they would have subtle differences as well as the odd dint and scratch.

You will need to get back on track soon to get this project finished.
