Just bumping it back to the front page, eveything is still packed away, and I'll be unpacking over the next few weeks to try and finish the last few batches.

Hey Ray,
Are you missing a 12mm chisel from the last batch? I seem to have picked up a spare somewhere along the way. Pretty sure I didn't order two of these.
Only just noticed it as I was finally about to finish turning and fitting the second lot of handles. These thing do take time y' know.
Happy to return it, or send it on to whoever.
Cheers

Hi Gunnie,
I don't think I'm missing any, but I can't easily check at the moment. Put it aside for now, and I'll check when I can get the chance.
I want to get another batch out soon anyway.
Regards
Ray

Hi Ray,
How many plane blades and chisels did you start off with or how many have you processed over years ? Sounds like a massive job.

This thread now at 51 pages...going back to 2012 (and even that wasn't the start of the process). Who do I talk to about acquiring the film rights to this "group buy" ??
Not having a go....all credit to the people who have committed a LOT of their time and energy (especially RayG) to sorting out the mess left behind when this all went off the rails

Sorry for the delay, I had to go back and double check.
146 Turning Chisels, 100 Blades for wooden planes, 109 Firmer Chisels, 128 Paring Chisels.
Just about all different styles and designs. We are down the last few Paring Chisels sets. All the others are complete.
I'd be interested in reports as to how the turning chisels, firmer chisels and paring chisels have performed for those that have them, also has anyone made a plane with the plane blades. ** pictures please **
Regards
Ray

Was there not also a batch of long paring chisels?
The turning chisels are wonderful. Certainly the paring chisels are my distinct favourites and hold an exceptional edge. The long Parers are great when the job justifies their use. I picked up a set that had not had the handles fitted off E bay for not very much money so I have more paring chisels than I really need but they find a particular use from time to time.
I might posts some picks of mine soon.
You are a legend Ray.

I bought a little turning chisel - a skew. It's really useful and being thicker than the norm for this size is less prone to chatter
I'm sorry I didn't get some of tne other sizes
on another point when can I expect my paring chisel (it was ground as a skew) - which you may recall I sent down for you for comparison etc purposes
I think it's been a couple of years now that I haven't had it and it's mates are starting to pine for its company ...regards

Hello Ray,
A bump to keep this current.
What is the current status of the long parer chisel order, is there a problem that is holding up delivery?
Is there any chance I can get them before Christmas?
As I previously offered I am happy to get them not assembled so I can match them to the firmer chisels I have.
Regards, Bill Garthe
