That's the style. I followed the link, but whilst he has a blog of the build, he doesn't say if he was working form any plans.

I feel like I've scoured the internet, and come up short. The next step if no-one here knows, will be trying to reach out to anyone who has published a tail vise build across various forums and ask if they have plans.

David Barron and his thoughts on a tail vise. I have one (of sorts) and it gets used as a vise not in the traditional ways of combining it with dog holes for planing etc but the type of work done on the bench dictates what we use as shown in the second video using no vise at all. I post the second one for interest only as I happened to see it yesterday, it would not work for me but it might for others.

This link covers a build of the Frank Klausz style workbench and has measured drawings. If all else fails I have a copy of the Workbench Book and could scan the vice details pages for you.

I've seen David's video, and interestingly is at the top of my what to build bench. The only downside, for me, is that I would like a real tail vice. Having an understanding of how much is involved with building one will dictate whether I go the whole hog, or like David, use the simpler option of the HNT Gordon vice.
