OK Mates. Fiber Optics has been both a blessing and a scourge.

I'll get calls here in the US without any background hiss. And then they are speaking in British Colonial English. The really disturbing thing is that this improvement to communications is also making the Internet seem like everything is right next door. Here we have 400 MBS available to the house. While 30 years ago 9.6 KBS dial up was considered a luxury. I don't know if it is good or bad. But when things don't work exactly right it is painful.

Is this the whole forum or just a particular thread by Verawood?

Yesterday I posted to the BS forum and uploaded photos to the post. It took a damned long time to initially open a new post and I nearly abandoned the idea of the photos when the first one took many minutes to upload and then the next two photos went through as normal.

If you want a really fast response just tell the wife you are going to buy a new machine for the workshop.

Hey guys, just letting you know we found an issue with a post that was causing the database to lockup. Things seem to be running fine since it was fixed an hour ago, however we'll need to monitor things over the next few hours. If you get any abnormal slowness please let us know here. I've also put some measures inplace to ensure the issue that was fixed before won't occur again.
