Totally agree with all you have said Gab. I too will be there on Friday and hope to catch up with you again. I know I will enjoy my day and maybe take home a few goodies as it's only a couple of days after my birthday. It will be interesting to see the new format. Got my earlybird ticket and ready to go.

That's pretty much how I see it too Gabriel.
I will keep an eye out for you on the Friday.
As I see it the new organizers have a bigger job rebuilding the Melbourne show than any other because the previous people did more damage to their own brand here than anywhere else. If we don't give them a chance we won't have a show to look forward to each year.
Don't think Wooddust will take over where the TWWW shows leave off - they are two totally different beasts.I went out to the Wooddust marketplace this morning. There was no timber for sale at all and I think maybe 10 businesses selling stuff. No big displays of machinery or tools - it was all very light scale. It was good for what it was and I bought some items from Chris Vesper and Henry Eckert and had a good catch-up with other exhibitors I know as well, but that event is not, and is not pretending to be the Woodwork show. It's main purpose is to run woodworking classes.
I am going to this years Timber tools and Artisans show with an open mind and if nothing else I will enjoy catching up with some friends for a chatI got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Guess who is just coincidentally having a 3 day sale and demonstrations on the same weekend now? Never open on a Sunday any other weekend of the year.

There are many brands excluded from the sale. I’d rather go to the show and support those firms who support us.

Melbourne Show - Program | 23-25 August 19 | Melbourne Showgrounds
HI All - Sorry for the delay getting this Melbourne Program posted on the Forum. We do rely heavily on our exhibitors, demonstrators and venue alike to bring this together including what is on offer and being demonstrated.
We hope to all see you there.

Yes - this is unfortunate. They were booked in to the show but decided to cancel. This is a real shame as the shows need to support of the industry.
However we do have a number of Machinery & Tools providers including Beyond Tools, Hare & Forbes coming to the Melbourne show. Brands available include:
- RecordPower
- Laguna
- Rikon
- SawStop
- Henry Eckert
- Gifkin Dovetail
- Jim Davey
And more.

Lets hope for a good day, Timbertoolsart. I hope all the woodworkers and exhibitors who attend have a great day and those who don't attend regret it.
I hope to be there when the gates open on Friday or fairly close to it.
I know a lot of my friends are also going on Friday so no doubt I will catch up with a lot of them for a chat.
Lets hope the weather is kind and the timber plentiful - not that I have room for much more.I got sick of sitting around doing nothing - so I took up meditation.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .
