Grabbing in the dark where to start ,I looked at this Ted's Woodworking Review
but it looks a bit complicated--maybe not to the experts.
    Please send advice

@christayl, stay away from "teds". they just sell plans that are freely available. scam of the highest degree. I'd like to hope you're not just here to spread that.

    I was born in 1971
So I’m mostly metric ,tho I can do imperial kind off,
Like I know one inch, 1/8, a foot ,that’s about it.

But now I’m all confused, saw this on a Facebook site.

I think I’m just going to hide back under the bed for the rest off 2020 it’s just too weird.[emoji3064]

Surely it's a combination hex key; one end is 5mm and the other end is 16mm

I don’t know anything about type casting.
I think that’s the term, but even the MM looks kind of not right.

It would be interesting to actually measure it ?

    Cheers Matt.

    Matt

Should be lower case "mm" to depict millimeters? The only thing I can think of it is one of those puzzles developed for self isolation during the virus. However, it could be enough to make you sick.

    Regards
    Paul

Ps: Would you be measuring in imperial or metric?

Good one Matt, I was born in 1948 so I know that one inch is 1/12 of a foot.

Hey Matt, nothing wrong with that at all, makes perfect sense, 5/16 mm is factory speak for machine malfunction and/or my mistake
The person who never made a mistake never made anything

In the oil game if a refinery has an "unexpected outage" its public relations speak for major screw up that resulted in a large fire - probably with an explosion.
