Hi Riverbuilder. Do you know the model number of the saw and how old it is? Thanks.

Yes, sorry should have put that in the ad, it’s an ST 12-h and manufactured in November 2001. It was in a school workshop since new, it hasn’t done very much work at all. It looks exactly the same as the current model ST-12D, which retails for $2200.Except it doesn’t have the wheels.

Hey mate. Are they good saws? I see them for sale at machine house and was curious of the quality and such. Looking to purchase a table saw/panel saw these are among the ones I'm consider. Thanks

Hi slick, it appears to be a well built machine, it’s quite heavy, and has a 3hp motor which is adequate for a 300mm blade. I haven’t used it, only to test it and it rips through 50 mm rosewood with no problems. You can purchase a sliding table attachment to put on it as well, which makes it more versatile. It’s an ideal saw for a startup in a garage or whatever.

I just looked at the photo of the plate on the motor and it’s a 2011 model, hope that helps. C1D3223E-835C-4E93-A679-4E57D5DD2F28.jpeg

Hi riverbuilder,
I know you've said pickup from Somersby, but would you be willing to partly disassemble and strap it up on that palette for road freight to VIC, with collection from your address?
Does it have a riving knife?
Can you confirm it's made in Taiwan? And finally is it 2001 or 2011? I can see the '11' stamped on the plate, but earlier you mentioned November 2001.
If the answers are yes, yes, and yes...
then, I'll take it!
I'm pretty sure you are right, and this is an earlier model of the current ST-12d, which I am/was about to buy new. Nice to give an old machine new life, and have a few dollars left for some blades and maybe a fence upgrade.
Cheers, RW

I’ll check the photos for place of origin. The markings on the specification labels are a bit ordinary, I’ll try to find out more. Transport is no problem, it’s currently bolted to the pallet so can disassemble and wrap, no worries. Will PM you

It’s Still For Sale
After a couple of false starts, I still have this saw, if you’re thinking about it, contact me as there are interested people trying to get to look at it.
