I missed a good session. Hopefully, there will be a re-run at a later date.

Thank you, it was fun being "behind the camera" !!!

As you can see, the jig took a long time to design and came hot off the bench within minutes of the Grand Tour. Eat your heart out BobL

The other simple solution I've seen is a piece of glav plate bent at right angles, with one side attached to the tripod. The other side of the angle has REE magnet and the phone is put in a case with magnetic material disc on the back.

On the subject of tungsten carbide chains, as discussed on Friday, this may suit somebody, but you need the same size saw.

Genuine Stihl Carbide toothed chainsaw chain

Paul its less about the saw and more about the drive sprocket and bar nose sprocket - these have to suit the 0.325" pitch chain.
Both can be purchased but they do cost a few bob.

    Thanks Bob

That was what I was alluding to, but a bit weary last night and rather carelessly just linked the thread as tungsten carbide chains was one of the topics we discussed. In short is has to be compatible with whatever you have got.

    Once again I'm out.

It's Jools's birthday so at that time we will be on the road on the way to her bestie's place for lunch.

We are allowed to travel that far right now and they haven't seen each other since March, except for on Zoom, Facebook, Facetime etc.

    Have a great meeting.

Whoops, I just realised I wrote AEST instead of AEDT. I hope most ignored that bit. See you in 8 minutes.
